12" x 12"
acrylic, ink & pastel on wood panel with black float frame
Fellow Hamiltonians will be able to appreciate the concept behind this Study Panel that was inspired by a visit to Bayfront at sunset. The cotton candy sky reflected into the still water of the bay like it was one long paper Pantone swatch with only the slightest of gradient. The best sunsets are the ones where you get to watch the sun dip right into the horizon like it's falling into the water. Bayfront makes for some fantastic views of the sunset, a fabulous display of light and color that I attempted to capture in this Study.
More about this product:
A study is a loose and fun exploration usually of a concept or subject matter. This panel was created without the intention of subject matter, in fact, the goal was simply to experiment and play with different shapes, markings, colours and composition and the overall feeling that the painting can convey. A wood panel of this size is very lightweight, only ¼" thick, and can be easily displayed by leaning on a surface, or mounted inside a floating frame for a more polished look. This product is easy to ship thanks to the small size. Please note that the buyer is responsible for any shipping charges, but the artist will facilitate the process by obtaining quotes, packaging the product safely, and bringing it to a shipping centre at no extra cost. Reach out to the artist directly through the Contact page for any inquiries regarding this piece.
